A. The license fee for a transient merchant shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) during any one quarter of the fiscal year. The fee shall be paid in advance. The amount of any fee in this section may be changed by resolution of the city council.

B. The license fee for a special event only shall be twenty dollars ($20.00) and the license issued is valid for a seventy-two (72) hour period. A special event includes any parade, circus, festival, sporting event, entertainment, vehicle show, religious revival, political rally or other similar temporary activity that takes place under a common theme for a limited period of time. The bonding requirements of Section 5.24.080 do not apply to license applications made for a special event. A special event permit is not required for any person whose activities or sales are casual or incidental in nature, whether for profit or not. (Ord. 04-004 (part), 2004)
